The Warner Prize 2022

After two years of disruption due to covid we were able to hold the formal prizegiving on the 17th of October at Crosfield hall again this year.
Children from Mountbatten School and Romsey School are asked to investigate life in Romsey in earlier times and produce a piece of work interpreting their findings.
This is an excellent way of getting them to look at their environment with new eyes and understand how it has been created.
The pupils produced an impressive range of work and there was a good turnout of approximately 100 students and parents present at the prize giving.
Roger Leech, as chairman, presented the prizes and photos were taken by Alan Matlock, a former Romsey teacher.
The society meets the cost of hiring the hall, printing the certificates and providing light refreshments.
Sybil Warner has been providing the prize money which amounts to approximately £500. We are very grateful for her generosity.
